Jordan Salyer - il Vinaio's Chef
Our Chef Jordan Salyer's passion for the culinary arts began in the small village of Cloudcroft, New Mexico where he grew up. He started as a dishwasher at the highly acclaimed Rebecca's at the Lodge and quickly excelled to the role as one of their top line cooks. To further hone his skills he moved to the Valley of the Sun to attend Scottsdale Le Cordon Bleu where he obtained his degree in the culinary arts while working under many accomplished chefs. He most recently spent over two years under Chef Kelly Fletcher at Tempe's House of Tricks. Chef Salyer loves to combine unexpected cuisines and ingredients in the kitchen. Although he is classically trained in French cuisine, he is also heavily influenced by flavors of the Southwest and Asia. When Jordan is not in the kitchen he enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, and their one year old daughter Alchemy Gail. Jordan is excited to help elevate the Mesa food scene by using the freshest ingredients to create unique, flavorful dishes at il Vinaio Restaurant.
